Welcome to the Murkdice Mork Borg Minimalist Mini-Megadungeon Month 2025, a.k.a. 6M-2025!
The idea is simple. We’ll be using Murkdice’s ‘patchwork megadungeon’ technique (see here) to take community created dungeons, cut them apart, and form a larger interconnected dungeon.
Participants create dungeons compatible with Mork Borg, submit them to Murkdice, then we’ll chop them up and stitch them back together to create the final dungeon.
We’re providing a concept for the dungeon and three factions to keep everyone on the same page. The final dungeon will be distributed digitally for free (with the possibility of us looking into print-on-demand distribution).
You can find all the material you need here and it’s well worth joining our discord for this!
The Concept: The Lacuna of Memory
The Lacuna of Memory, a.k.a the Lacuna, is a location which promises the erasure of all others' memories of you. It’s a way for the desperate and tarnished to have a clean slate. It is accessed via a deep crevasse in Bergen Chrypt.
We’ve even cooked up three factions for this location too! More information can be found in the starting material.
Minimalism
We’re going to be mapping the dungeon using a clean node structure like this:
Submissions are simple in nature: you create a node map, key the rooms, and provide an encounter table. Nothing else needed, no introduction, nothing.
The final dungeon will have no art, focusing on the words submitted by contributors alone. Minimalism.
This game jam is for everyone. Whether you write 5 rooms or 50, this is your chance to be part of the first Murkdice Mork Borg Minimalist Mini-Megadungeon Month!
