~short and sweet this week~
This April, the Murkdice discord community voted on a 100 members milestone reward gift. The winner was a one-page solo rpg. The discord group have had access to that game for 3 months already, but now it’s time for all our readers to gain access!
Say hello to Deep Station Diver (DSD).
The premise of DSD is simple:
You are a Deep Station Diver (DSD). Frontier space stations have catastrophes all the time. Someone has to go grab the data logs, a.k.a the Box (◆). Corporate isn't funding a big recovery operation. They send a DSD alone in a small ship to go find the Box (◆). You'll be searching for it in the zero-G wreckage of a space station.
You’ve got to manage oxygen and radiation shield levels whilst attempting to track those pesky data logs down.
It’s inspired by solo games by
like Eleventh Beast and Exclusion Zone Botanist, with a healthy dose of Death in Space infused into it.It’s designed to be a short game. It takes between 15-30 minutes, though if you do multiple runs you can play for much longer of course.
That’s it for this week! If you want DSD for yourself, subscribe to MurkMail.
If you’re already subscribed, you can get it at the dropbox link you already have. If you’ve lost it, check the MurkMail chat for a copy of the link!
We’re going to GenCon!
We’re going to be at GenCon this year (Ennie nominations convinced us haha)! If you see the two of us wandering around, come say hi!
Thanks, MM. We are going on a Cruise this week, and I'm gonna take this with me to play, because...well... it kinda fits, doesn't it?
I am subscribed.
I think you mean this stuff is "free," with a PAID subscription.
